Description
BUD
The bud has an open blade. Anthocyanin pigmentation forming a border around the edge, with medium intensity. High density of downward hairs and null or very low of upright ones.
FLOWER, INFLORESCENCE, YOUNG LEAF
Green young leaves.
ADULT LEAF
The blade is pentagonal-shaped with variable lobes number (being five the most frequent) and medium-green bundle. Before veraison, the leaf acquires fall colours. No anthocyanin pigmentation of the main veins. Big-sized teeth, with one side concave and the other convex; equal or slightly longer than wide. Open petiole sinuses, key or V-shaped base and no teeth on it, neither limited by veins. Open and medium-deep upper lateral sinuses and U-shaped base, without teeth. Medium hairiness between and over the main veins on the underside of leaves, and sometimes on the bundle. No downward hairs on the petiole; sometimes upright ones. Petiole variable in length, usually the same length as the main vein.
BUNCH
Free and conical bunches with a wing.
BERRY AND SEED
Uniform, spherical and blue-black berries. Not-coloured pulp (nevertheless, over 13º of probable alcohol, they acquire a red colour), very juicy, soft and without particular flavour. Medium bloom and hilum little apparent. The pedicel is easy to separate and it presents a ring.
