Description

BUD

The bud has an open blade and null anthocyanin pigmentation, sometimes very weak forming a border around the edge. Medium-high and very low or null density of downward and upright hairs, respectively.

ADULT LEAF

The blade is pentagonal-shaped with five lobes. Null anthocyanin pigmentation on the main veins. Weak bundle swelling. Some teeth with rectilinear/concave sides. Open petiole sinuses with V-shaped base. Very open upper lateral sinuses, medium depth, with a U-shaped base. Open lower lateral sinuses, little deep, with V-shaped base. Medium-high and null or very low density of downward and upright, respectively, hairiness density between main veins; and medium and null or very low of downward and upright over the veins on the underside. No hairiness on the petiole. The petiole is very long.

BUNCH

Bunches are some years free and other, compact, conical, and sometimes with a wing.

BERRY AND SEED

Not uniform, spherical and greenish-pink (sometimes red-grey) berries. Not-coloured pulp, and special flavour (“muscatel” and “foxé”).

OTHER

Direct Producer Hybrid. In Asturias it is known as the Jaén variety. Many specimens are found under this name, arbour or for consumption as table grapes. In Galicia, three specimens were found with the name “Moscatel Rubio”.
